Verifying that you are dealing with me
Fraudulent operations clone the websites and profiles of legitimate investigators in order to approach victims. Before you send anything to anyone claiming to be this practice, check the following.
- Domain
- My website is leonard-peterson.com. The .co.uk address redirects here. Any other domain is not me.
- My email addresses end in @leonard-peterson.com. Not Gmail, not Proton, not any variation of the domain.
- Messaging apps
- I do not use WhatsApp, Telegram or Signal for first contact.
- First contact
- I do not initiate contact with people who have been defrauded. If someone approaches you first claiming to act for me, it is not me.
- Payment
- I never request payment before funds have been returned to you, and never in cryptocurrency.
